In this Senior Spotlight, I will be recognizing Kaleb J. Hatfield. Kaleb is one of the most loved students at Frankford Highschool. He has paved a way for all of the underclassmen and has shined light on problems that need to be fixed. He has been a role model for all his fellow classmates and he has shown us what it takes to be a true pioneer.
Q: What is your full name and what highschool do you attend?
A: My name is Kaleb J. Hatfield and I attend Frankford High School
Q: What clubs/activities are you engaged in at your school and how do you think they will help you in your future?
A: I was involved with Culinary Arts, Drumline, and Band which have all instilled in me an extensive amount of dedication and grit. Culinary has taught me that you have to get your hands dirty to make something good. Band has taught me that it takes time and consistency to do anything and it takes determination to do anything great.
Q: What are your plans after graduating high school?
A: My plan is to go to college and follow my passion and putting on musical performances. Hopefully starting a career in music performance.
Q: What is your best memory from your senior year?
A: The small moments with my closest friends like when something funny happens. Also, goofing off and spending time together.
Q: What is your best memory from all of high school?
A: Well some of my fondest memories are doing community service hours with some of my classmates for our senior projects. Also, spending time with the culinary arts classes.
Q: What is your greatest achievement?

A: My greatest achievement is becoming a Business of Hospitality Ambassador and getting 3rd chair in All-City.
Q: What is one thing you will miss about your school?
A: The relationships and bonds that have been formed.
Q: How has your high school experience shaped you?
A: It has truly made me a different person. I not only became more outspoken and honest, I began to understand and find who I am as a
person and shape my own identity.
Q: What has been your most formative high school experience?
A: All-City.
Q: Do you have any advice to give to incoming freshmen?
A: Do your work, stay on top of your grades, put yourself out there, and don’t be afraid of taking risks.
Q: How are you feeling during the quarantine? What are you doing to keep yourself engaged?
A: Quarantine is rough but to stay engaged and active I’ve been working on honing my skills as a musician and working at my job.
Q: How do you feel about your senior year being cut short?
A: It sucks and I wish it hadn't happened but I’m making the most of it and am going to continue to work hard and finish strong.
Q: If you could change one thing about your school, what would it be?
A: More opportunities like culinary arts, band, and more ways to get involved in extracurriculars like that.
Q: If you could change one thing about the school district, what would it be?
A: Better methods of contact between students and representatives for the district.
Q: If you could change one thing about Philadelphia, what would it be?
A: More companies like CCAP and Philadelphia Academics operating here.
