The cartoon “On A Pedestal” illustrates an ironic scene of the growing trend of society putting STEM subjects “on a pedestal” while belittling the arts, claiming they’re easy or unuseful. The goal of the cartoon is to make the viewer question why society has largely accepted the reverence of STEM at the expense of the arts.
